Workshops
We offer a range of art classes, lessons, and workshops in the town of Toowoomba, Australia. Whether you’re a beginner looking to learn the very basics of turning your vision into a reality, or a more experienced artist looking for a specialised art course locally, our expert art teachers will help to expand your skill set whilst having fun!
Our workshops are available in variety of media including, but not limited to watercolour, oils, acrylic, mixed media, pastel, drawing, calligraphy, and printmaking. With supportive and knowledgeable tutors, you’ll find a class to stir your curiosity, meet new people and learn something new.
Workshops are hosted at MyArt studio, conveniently located in downtown Toowoomba, at 16 Duggan Street near Grand Central. MyArt Studio is a creative initiative of Murray’s Art & Framing, positioned at the rear of our shop front. Our light filled studio space is a comfortable learning environment equipped with bathrooms, a kitchenette and separate studio sink for cleaning up. We are excited to be offering classes on site, whether you are new to art or a continuing student, welcome! Access via the Duggan Street door open 15 minutes prior to your workshop start time.

Weekly Classes
All weekly classes are run during the school term and usually consist of a 3hr session scheduled once a week for 6-8 weeks. We routinely teach drawing and watercolour, and occasionally calligraphy, acrylics, and oils depending on the availability of our tutors. These classes are a great way to develop your skills and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and camaraderie of a class environment.
Play at Art
These beginner level classes are a 3hr “try before you buy” session. Come along as we provide everything you need and teach you the fundamentals of a particular medium, in a relaxed creative environment. A great way to learn a new skill prior to investing in materials. Book in with a friend, no prior experience is required.
Children's Classes
Currently, we do not offer children’s classes. We are happy to recommend the following local classes. Please contact each directly for more information.

Tinker Art, run by Alex Stalling, have kids term classes and holiday workshops, located at Dexter Street and Russell Street in Toowoomba.

The Toowoomba Art Society runs children’s art classes each term with the very experienced Gilly Carol, a retired primary school teacher. They are located on Godsall Street, next to Queens Park Botanical Gardens.

The best thing you can do to encourage creativity in your children is to be creative with them. You might even enjoy it too!
Weekend Workshops
These workshops are run over 1-2 days and give you a chance to learn with a specialist in your chosen medium. Our tutors are highly experienced in teaching, and are accomplished artists, with some also being internationally acclaimed. Visiting artist are usually very popular and often book out in advance, be quick to reserve you ticket.
Parties & Corporate Events
Are you looking for a group activity to think outside the box and get your hands dirty? Let us create a fun and memorable event for your work team or social group. Bring along your drinks and nibbles and we can provide an experienced tutor, and any materials needed for a fun evening or weekend of art play. Tutoring
Needing to improve a specific skill? We can offer one-on-one tutoring with one of our experienced team of artists in a range of mediums and techniques depending on your niche. We can help you upskill your drawing ability for a professional need, understanding perspective, sketching faces and other technical skills. Tutoring is for those aged 16 and over and is priced on application.

MyArt Studio Workshop
Booking and Cancellation Policy
The 16 Duggan Street entrance to the classroom will be opened 15 minutes prior to commencement of the class. Students are responsible for their own artists materials unless otherwise stated. A materials list is available for each class and will be emailed to you once your booking is confirmed. Materials lists are also available on our MyArt Studio Eventbrite page. Tea and coffee will be provided, and students have access to the kitchenette and toilet facilities. No parking facilities provided. Street parking is time limited and shopping centre parking is at your own expense. Classes with outdoor activities are attended at your own risk.

Fees
Please book into a workshop at least one month prior to its commencement if possible. This will secure your spot in the class and allow us to confirm tutor bookings. If there are insufficient number of bookings, workshops may be cancelled.

Cancellation of enrolment by you
If you choose to withdraw from a course or workshop up to one month before its commencement, you will be charged a $25 administration fee. The remainder (minus Eventbrite fees) will be refunded. If you choose to withdraw from a course or workshop within 1 month of its commencement, you will be charged a $25 administration fee and the remainder (minus Eventbrite fees) will only be refunded if the position can be filled.

Missed Classes
Once a workshop has commenced there are no refunds. MyArt Studio cannot accept responsibility for changes to students' personal circumstances that prevent attendance. Classes missed are the student’s responsibility and are non-refundable. Students are not entitled to a discount or ‘make-up’ class if they miss a class for any course they are enrolled in.

Cancellations of workshops by us
In the event of a class being cancelled due to insufficient enrolments, a full refund will be given.
